Park Hyatt Auckland

The new Park Hyatt hotel was inspired by Auckland Harbour’s strong sense of place and its close relationship to the vibrant city’s urban grain. The concept draws upon New Zealand’s rich natural beauty and its strong multicultural heritage, while delivering a distinctive sense of luxury.

Upon arrival to the new five star hotel, guests are taken from an intimate porte cochère to a dramatic full-height atrium which reveals the dramatic architectural concept of open corridors and central courtyards.

Conran and Partners’ design playfully uses volume and scale to create more personal moments in such a grand and open space. The concept includes a welcoming timber pavilion which houses the reception desk and a collection of banquet seating which forms a unique geometric pattern when viewed from the floors above. A curation of Māori artwork is showcased throughout the space to help to offer a unique sense of place.
