MSC Cruises commissioned SMC Design to re-brand their much loved and well-established restaurant L’Atelier Bistrot on MSC Grandiosa. We were asked to create an elegant restaurant and bar design concept that would be the heart of the main promenade, offering contemporary French cuisines with private dining, live entertainment and a pop-up art gallery.

SMC Design created a unique F&B experience that firmly resonates with the family audience. We aimed to design an offering intrinsically connected to Parisian culture, SMC Design wove together the old French Neoclassical interiors and Art Nouveau architecture in harmonious co-existence. The space has been designed with a hand-painted fresco ceiling, antique mirrors, stained timber wainscoting reflecting the rich colour palette, whilst the exterior remains classically Parisian.

The result is a sophisticated and refined restaurant interior appealing to their guest whilst maintaining the essence of their brand.
