Ningbo Hankyu

Garde was involved in the exterior and interior design of the first Hankyu Department store in China, Ningbo Hankyu. The concept of the store is “China’s first experiential “department mall” that combines the strengths of a department store with those of a shopping center” and opened one of the largest commercial facilities in the region in Ningbo.
In many ways, this project was the culmination of Hankyu Department Store’s design work to date.
Ningbo Hankyu was born in Ningbo, sublimating the history and traditions nurtured in Japan. What kind of new history will be carved in the future is attracting more and more attention from all quarters.
