All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.

The Tipsi Tray is designed to make life easier for able-bodied and less abled people alike. The unique design allows easier use for those with balance, shaking, or disabilities which make carrying a traditional tray more difficult, dangerous or even impossible in some cases.

The Tipsi Tray allows users to carry up to 9 drinks with a single hand. You can negotiate uneven ground, hold a bannister on stairs, use a walking stick as well as opening doors and pushing through crowds. The Tipsi Tray can give a new lease of life to those living alone or with difficulties around the home.

It’s particularly useful in the hospitality industry for serving drinks and food as well as reducing the amount of contact on serving items.

The principle use of the Tipsi Tray relies on some basic physics. The movement of the tray counteracts the sloshing of the drinks, keeping them grounded to the tray, safe and unspilled.

The design is food grade 304 stainless steel with a polypropylene and rubber tray. Spill stop edges and a rubberised surface add an additional level of protection.

The removable handle has a unique male-female attachment allowing the tray to be left at the table or broken down for easy storage and washing. The single handle also allow for maximum access to items on the tray unlike other versions using rope of 3 permanent handles.
