Adjacent to Suzhou Canal, an area which has mirrored the cultural life of the southern Yangtze River for thousands of years, the project features an elegant, humanistic aesthetic and displays the power of imagination and the pursuit of an elegance. There is the smell of books, the combination of terrazzo and wood, subtle detailing, all creating a comfortable, elegant and harmonious atmosphere in this textural space. Behind the bar counter is an irregular-shaped area for displaying property models. The dynamic sculpture designed by Alexander Calder above it adds a sense of flexibility to the space. The sunken and semi-enclosed book bar serves for reading and negotiation, with Taschen publications, wooden bookcases and furniture setting a soft tone. The star-adorned ceiling is a highlight of the space, rendering it luminous and vivid and creating a lively atmosphere for reading and making conversation.
