Anita Rosato Interior Design
London, United Kingdom
All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
Located in the heart of Hackney Wick and only a stones throw away from Queen Elizabeth Park, the owners wanted an apartment that was true to its roots in a location that embraces creativity and celebrates individuality: raw, unrefined and honest.
The key was to fit in with the Hackney vibe which is urban, edgy, industrial and innovative – and having lived in the area for more than 25 years, Anita Rosato was completely au fait with the local vibe and all it entailed.
Local artists, suppliers and ceramicists were used to accent a riot of colour, softened with a back drop of feminine colours, natural linens and authentic vintage furniture. Hi-lites of industrial pieces, contemporary lighting, hand knotted textures, copious planting with dried grasses were all combined to give a thoroughly modern and maximalist approach to this distinctive apartment.
