The wider public also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite Finalist designs during the online Public Vote which opens when the shortlist is revealed on 29 July and closes on 4 September. The votes will account for the remaining 10% of the overall scores for determining the Global Category Winners. Find out more

How and when are Category Finalists and Winners announced?

Category Finalists will be announced online on 29 July 2026.

Regional Winners will be announced online on 7 September 2026.

Global Category Winners will be announced at the SBID Awards ceremony on 6 November 2026.

All finalists/winners are published on the SBID Awards website. To see last year’s award winners, click here.

What’s the difference between Regional & Global Winners?

All projects submitted into Interior Design categories will be automatically considered for a Global and Regional Award based on project location. Each entry category therefore provides 2 chances to win either as a Regional and/or Global Category Winner.

Regional Category Winners: Highest scoring among the region from the Judges scores. Will be revealed online on the SBID Awards website.

Global Category Winners: Highest scoring across all regions from the Judges scores & the Public Vote combined. Will be announced live at the SBID Awards Ceremony.

All shortlisted Interior Design entries will also be up for a chance to receive the accolade of Overall Winner as the highest scoring entry from the Judges scores & the Public Vote across all regions & entry categories.

If I am a Regional Winner can I still win the Global Category?

Yes! Being a Regional Winner does not exclude you from winning the Global Category — you are eligible for both! Likewise, even if you are not a Regional Winner, you can still become a Global Winner based on your overall score.
