Situated between the urban energy of Jumeirah Lake Towers and the verdant calm of Emirates Golf Course, Vida Hotel, Emirates Hills is an urban retreat; an oasis in the middle of Dubai and its design is intended to craft an ambience of tranquillity and calm. The design style created is refreshingly casual and intuitive, yet elegant and considered. Materials have been selected for their fresh, light and natural qualities, and include white terrazzo, white marble, pale white and silver oaks, and neutral fabrics. Black stained timber, black metal, hand-glazed tiles, Reiki pottery, Alberto Burri-inspired paintings and soft blue circular hand- tufted rugs form intriguing textural and chromatic points of contrast. The design is characterised by a distinct sensitivity to the power of colour, a keen understanding of the practical functions of the space and a marked attention to textural detail.
