David Collins Studio
The Bryanston, Hyde Park
London, United Kingdom
All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
David Collins Studio was chosen to design and deliver the latest show apartment at The Bryanston, Hyde Park for London-based developers Almacantar. The 3-bedroom apartment, located on the 11th floor of the Rafael Vinoly building, offers a series of strong colour stories and features David Collins Studio archive furniture designs, reimaged for The Bryanston. The Studio worked with Wallpaper* magazine journalist Nick Vinson to curate a selection of contemporary British artwork and accessories. Inspiration was drawn from nearby Hyde Park, providing a strong sense of place to the interiors. Contemporary British artists and makers were commissioned to create one-of-a-kind pieces for The Bryanston, including Sebastian Cox, Jochen Holz, Simon Hasan, Jessica Rose Bird and Bethan Laura Wood. Careful consideration of modern living has been included to give the space comfort and glamour which then unfolds with details that delight and add an individual touch.
