Seeking to harness the creative energy of its team in Boston, Publicis Groupe envisioned a new workplace that would bring seven companies together under one roof. They enlisted Elkus Manfredi Architects to design a high-functioning, inspiring workplace that celebrates the identities of each individual brand, while promoting Publicis’ vision of The Power of One.

Embracing a non-traditional co-creation approach involving end-users in the process produced a dynamic, flexible, culture-shifting workplace. Designers engaged 1,500 employees in co-creation exercises, incorporating their unique requirements and culture into the eclectic, agile workspace. The design supports multiple work styles and brand identities, with each team working from a ‘home’ neighbourhood, featuring a rich array of work environments. Magnetic common areas – like the two-story amphitheatre, outdoor terraces, and a café, invite people to come together in spontaneous collisions with the potential to ignite that creative spark across brands.
