Hotel Indigo Nanjing Garden Expo is located in Nanjing Tangshan Garden Expo which was once a mine pit that has existed for over a millennium. YANG’s design team has conducted a thorough geological and cultural investigation in Tangshan and decided to make the mineral ore the theme of the space. The design speaks to Indigo’s celebration of the neighborhood and embodies the features of the region, taking people into an intriguing and dreamlike “mine pit”. The innovative design of the space is realized by color, material, and decoration and reshapes the relationship between human and natural stone, allowing the guests to experience the Tangshan neighborhood and pay close attention to the land and nature.
