All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
On the north coast of Antigua lies Hodges Bay Resort and Spa. The concept was to create a resort in which the exterior beauty of the site is truly emphasised. The Hodges Bay site is bisected by a major thoroughfare; however, the transition from one place to the next in the resort is never interrupted by the road thanks to the creation of a seamless tunnel. The resort offers versatile and luxurious suites, 79 villas, residences and open lots for future development of villas, three innovative dining options, five bars, four swimming pools, extensive leisure and sporting facilities for adults and families alike. The interiors are complemented with highlights of natural textures, done by incorporating teak, driftwood, white oak, bleached walnut and natural stone. Hodges’ modern organic design also contains flora and sensual textures pursuing the connection between people and space.
