London Family Home

An imaginative renovation of a London townhouse into a hard-working family home, that is relaxed, comfortable and will evolve with time. Architecturally, the floor plans were opened up by relocating the staircase to create flowing, flexible family spaces for entertaining, working and everyday living, along with six bedrooms with bathrooms on the floors above. Bringing light into the house was key, achieved with a double height atrium, light wells, skylights and unique internal windows, complimented by layers of decorative and architectural lighting. Bespoke joinery was another priority, building in plenty of storage for a growing family along with pocket doors to create distinct living spaces. Working with a neutral palette, surface textures were chosen to create different zones and atmospheres as you transition between floors, also linking the interior to the garden. Colour and pattern were introduced through the soft furnishings and decorations, adding personality and a playful touch.
