Designed by FCA, Hackensack Meridian Health’s new state of the art Emergency Department pavilion at Bayshore Medical Center is a 30,000 SF addition to the campus, accommodating a new Emergency Department with 33 treatment sites capable of receiving 42,000 patient visits per year. This new pavilion re-orients the existing campus to enhance the patient access, parking and way finding experience, relocating the main entry to the hospital. Site improvements include expanded parking, new site circulation, entrances and drop off points. Each side of campus will connect via a newly renovated Main Street corridor for improved patient wayfinding. The interior design is rooted in rural feel of the community, despite its proximity to the New Jersey shore. Alternating wooden panels with graphics of dappled sunlight create that feeling of a walk through the woods, reminding the community, always, of their home.
