Hong Kong, Hong Kong S.A.R.
All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
A family of four has been living in a 2,200 sq ft duplex apartment for over 20 years. The owners wanted to refine the space according to their needs and design preferences. To connect the dining and living area, the ceiling was embellished with engraved grids and multiple sets of spotlights with cove lighting at the four sides, as well as creating a sense of warmth and uniformity. SID have rearranged the setting to create a white marble bar area at the lower floor, and a brand new family area furnished with television and gym equipment at the upper floor, establishing a pleasant space for relaxation and interaction.
To bring a connection to the whole house, marble finishes and metal embellishes are applied between each zone. White and earth tones matched with dark walnut wooden flooring and wallpaper, together with straight lines creates a modern and light-luxurious feel for the design.
