Designed for Chef Dominique Ansel, the treehouse was conceptualised around the building itself which was previously a retail unit, and Dominique’s desire to take his guests back to their childhood with memories of nostalgia. It was designed to emulate the fond feelings of childhood, inspired by exploration and imagination captured in a modern way.

Situated on the corner of Floral Street in Covent Garden it was spread across two floors, which allowed for Dominique’s signature pastries in a takeaway bakery boutique on the ground floor, plus a more upscale dining experience in a cosy seated bistro located in the “treetop canopy” on the upper floor. This was Dominique’s first restaurant dining experience in London so he wanted us to encapsulate his vision for an immersive bistro & bakery experience in the heart of Covent Garden that his guests would enjoy spending time in.
