Extending the footprint of this Grade II listed house and creating the ultimate picture-window with floor-to-ceiling glass, resulted in uninterrupted views from this impressive kitchen space which now appears to float over the valley beyond.

An L-shaped area has ‘cafe-style’ bench seating and table, and two islands with green/grey shaker-style cabinetry and copper hardware incorporate a butcher’s chopping block, vintage baker’s table and breakfast bar. Floor-to-ceiling units in sawn-edge oak accommodate cupboards, appliances and secret pantry door.

A change in flooring material and ceiling height delineates the kitchen from the connected dining and sitting areas, where a large oak table with Verdigris pendants, wool sofa and vintage linen-covered armchairs enjoy the views. The aesthetic of natural oak with a soft, neutral palette and touches of green to reflect the outside, coupled with vintage pieces, make this a wonderful space to cook and relax in.
