Model 01

SWYFT was born out of a desire to offer beautiful, quality upholstered products on a quick lead time, and at an affordable price. The Model 01 sofa is SWYFT’s first offering, available as a 3 seater, 2 seater and armchair.

SWYFT wanted to design a product that was easy to stock and transport, could be lifted by one person and would eliminate any potential access issues for the delivery team and customer. It was also important that assembly could be achieved by one person, with no tools, in under 5 minutes. All available in 48 hours.

The key to the success of the product was the innovative SWYFT-LOK fastening system. SWYFT designed and developed their own unique fasteners which allows elements to be fixed together quickly and securely by one person without the need for tools. No bolts, no spanners, just click and go. The fasteners can be disengaged again should the user need to move or dismantle the sofa – perfect for city living, rental properties, or show homes (the 3 seater neatly fits in a taxi).

The Model 01 is made from FSC certified woods. The packaging has been designed to be self-locking so no glues or staples are used in its construction, better facilitating recycling. All protective infills are made from cardboard, rather than polystyrene. The plastic used to wrap the upholstered components within the boxes is made from recycled plastic and is biodegradable. We also donate to a tree planting charity, whereby one tree is planted for each sofa sold.

SWYFT sofas have passed domestic strength and durability testing BS EN 12520:2015 and contract testing BS EN 16139:2013.

Model 00, 02 and 03 are currently in development, due for launch later this year. All models use our innovative SWYFT-LOK fastening system.
