Ruh by the Lake is a contemporary Middle Eastern-inspired restaurant interior designed to create a warm and immersive dining experience. Working within an existing tenancy and a limited budget, the design transforms retained elements through careful material selection, colour, and spatial interventions.

Forest green, terracotta, textured finishes and handcrafted details form a cohesive palette that balances modern dining with references to Middle Eastern hospitality. The restaurant features an intimate dining area, a dedicated shisha bar, and layered spaces defined by arches, lanterns, artwork and sculptural lighting. The result is a welcoming environment that feels culturally connected while remaining modern.
