This project transforms a compact Lisbon venue into an immersive izakaya, unfolding a cinematic journey through 23 “time-travel” scenes inspired by Eastern martial arts tales and historical culture. By blending straw, wood, soft ceramic faux walls, and a life-size black-awning boat, the design merges spatial innovation with narrative depth, casting diners as protagonists in a samurai-geisha tale. Realized on a highly constrained budget, the project redefines cost-conscious dining through modular staging, sustainable aging techniques, and powerful storytelling, establishing itself as Lisbon’s most talked-about dining destination.
