Union Atelier was commissioned to design FONG HOUSE, a restaurant specializing in Hakka cuisine that translates traditional craftsmanship into contemporary interior construction. The project is anchored by a 6.5-meter curved installation inspired by the "huochong" (traditional bamboo hand-warmer), reinterpreting a personal artifact as a monumental architectural anchor. Integrating Hakka Bamboo Weaving and a deep indigo palette, the design bridges ancestral heritage with a functional dining environment. Through specialized construction and a "breathing" luminous ceiling, the firm successfully extends the intimacy of the household hearth into a sophisticated, public cultural sanctuary.
