Watch Design Museum
Chongqing, China
All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
The studio was commissioned by The Spectator magazine to design the WATCH DESIGN MUSEUM in Chongqing. Conceived as a "Temporal Funnel," this cultural landmark integrates architecture, landscape, and interior design into a narrative journey. The museum echoes Chongqing’s vertical urban morphology, utilizing raw industrial materials to emphasize sustainability and tectonic honesty. By prioritizing spatial flexibility and "process-driven" exhibitions, the museum fosters deep engagement between the design industry and the public. The result is an immersive environment that celebrates design exploration while maintaining strict cost-efficiency and circular design principles.
