Charlene Huang Interiors was commissioned to reimagine the kitchen and adjacent dining spaces of a 1970s Toronto home that had recently been passed from one generation to the next. Inherited by a young couple expecting their first child, the house held deep childhood memories and family history. The redesign transforms the kitchen into the heart of contemporary family life, balancing functionality and warmth through thoughtful space planning, natural materials and farmhouse-inspired details. The project celebrates the continuity of home, creating a timeless gathering space where memory and contemporary living can comfortably coexist.
