All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
Westar Architects International reimagined the historic St. Petersbourg Hotel as The Burman Hotel through a nuanced dialogue between heritage and contemporary luxury. Original architectural elements are preserved and expressed as the spatial anchors of a layered arrival sequence. The lobby unfolds through intimate, carefully articulated zones, defined by rich materiality and precise detailing. Within the staircase unfolds a sculptural bespoke chandelier. Subtle references to the adjacent Bombay Club reinforce a cohesive narrative across the intervention. Together with a serene, nature-inspired spa, the project reflects the commitment to creating timeless, contextually rooted hospitality experiences defined by craftsmanship, elegance and authenticity.
