Designed by Westar Architects International, the Burman Hotel project is an ultra-exclusive boutique renaissance of Tallinn’s historic St. Petersbourg Hotel. The design aimed a balance of strict heritage constraints with uncompromising international five-star standards. The intervention focuses on diversifying the guest room layouts and suites to welcome an array of global travelers and families, seamlessly embedding modern luxury without disrupting the heritage protected spatial hierarchy. By meticulously preserving original 1850s architectural fabric - including historic fireplaces and time-honored wooden flooring - the design creates private sanctuaries that stand as a sophisticated, contextually sensitive fusion of European heritage and contemporary opulence.
