Harrison Narrow Plank | Reclaimed Douglas Fir
Woodworks by Ted Todd
All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
Woodworks by Ted Todd has developed Harrison, a reclaimed Douglas Fir floor crafted from timber recovered from a former RAF base in North Yorkshire. Originally imported from Canada in 1935, the boards retain their polished patina, nail holes, sawn character, and historic surface markings. Restored in the company’s Cheshire workshop, Harrison is produced as a solid narrow plank floor with hand-rolled detailing and an unfinished surface, giving designers a material-rich floor shaped by provenance, longevity, and architectural control.
