Set within the striking alpine landscape of Wānaka, this kitchen was designed to honour the surrounding lake and mountain views while forming the social heart of the home. The clients envisioned a refined yet welcoming space for connection and everyday living. In response, the layout adopts a functional ‘L’ shape with integrated dining, a sculptural island, and seamless storage solutions that maintain visual clarity. A layered palette of natural stone, timber, and matte finishes reflects the rugged environment beyond. The result is a calm, cohesive space that balances strength, elegance, and a deep connection to place.
