Sonshine Villa

This Chennai based residence of approx. 10,500 sq ft in the heart of the city, the influx of ideas on our blank slate was quite overwhelming. Designing this multi-generational abode gave AND Design immense scope to experiment with textures, materials, tones and traditions both old and new.

“It was about weaving ideas from the present with elements from tradition to create a contemporary home”. And Design conceived both the interiors & the architectural design of this compact footprint measuring 12m X 26m over 3 levels. Visitors will find echoes of opulence by the striking use of exotic marbles and the distinct gold finishes. A judicious mix of Indian crafts, rustic mosaics and objects of ethnic roots touches the layer of one’s nostalgic pool. Giving rise to a timeless & surprising environment, permeated with lovely pieces of art all around the house.
