Mohamed Alqari, founder of Qreative Design Studio, was commissioned to remodel a family villa in Muharraq, transforming the 2001 property into a refined and characterful residence. The design balances contemporary luxury with subtle references to traditional Bahraini architecture, retaining elements such as decorative beams and wall recesses while introducing layered materials and curated furnishings. A previously unused terrace was reimagined as a dramatic double-height conservatory inspired by the traditional Bahraini courtyard. The result is a warm, elegant home that evokes the atmosphere of a small boutique hotel while remaining comfortable and livable for family life.
