The Culture Collective is the headquarters for Warner Music Africa in Johannesburg, designed to embody the four pillars of contemporary African music culture; Community, Music, Art, and Fashion as a spatial and material programme. The Baraza, a traditional circular community gathering space, generates the planning logic across both floors. The ground floor operates as a public-facing Creative Talent Hub with a performance space that shifts between a workspace cafe and a revenue-generating events venue. Commissioned artworks, bespoke textiles from local artisans, and purpose-built acoustic environments create a workspace in which the culture of the African music industry is proudly present.
