05. Hotel Public Space Design
CHIL Interior Design
Hilton Markham
Toronto, Canada
All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
CHIL Interior Design was commissioned to reimagined Hilton Markham’s public and private guest spaces through a locally informed narrative rooted in the city’s evolution from historic mill village to leading technology hub. While maintaining Hilton’s brand standards for comfort, clarity and guest experience, CHIL translated Markham’s railway heritage, industrial past, Unionville streetscape and Sakura groves into materiality, pattern, lighting and spatial rhythm. Across the lobby, restaurant, executive lounge, conference spaces and ballroom, tailored metalwork, ribbed glass, warm textures, sculptural ceilings, custom carpet patterns and wall panelling create a hospitality experience that feels both globally recognizable and distinctly connected to place.
